Use Journaling to Promote Greater Self-Awareness

Journaling is the act of writing down thoughts, behaviors, and activities. It’s a great way to gain self-awareness and notice behavioral patterns. Here’s a list of examples of journal prompts you can use to guide your journaling:

  • What are my goals for life and work?

  • What aspects can I improve about myself?

  • What is my biggest weakness? How can I work on it or turn it into a strength?

  • What difficult thoughts or emotions come up to me most frequently?

  • What healthy boundaries can I set to increase my well-being?

  • What are the top qualities of the people I admire?
