Summer Self-Care

June 12, 2023

Summer is a great time to relax and recharge, but it’s also important to prioritize self-care for our mental health. Here are three ways to implement some summer self-care:

  1. Get outside: Spending time in nature has been shown to improve mental health and well-being. Take advantage of the warmer weather and longer days by going for a hike, visiting a beach, or simply taking a walk around your neighborhood. Even just a few minutes outside each day can make a big difference in your mental health.

  2. Try something new:┬áSummer is a great time to try something new or take up a hobby you’ve always been interested in. Whether it’s learning a new language, taking a cooking class, or trying out a new sport, trying something new can be a great way to boost your mood and improve your self-confidence.

  3. Set healthy boundaries: Summer can be a busy time filled with social events, family gatherings, and other activities. While it’s important to enjoy these activities and connect with loved ones, it’s also important to set healthy boundaries to avoid feeling overwhelmed or burnt out. Take some time to reflect on your needs and priorities, and be willing to say “no” to invitations or requests that don’t align with your values or goals.
