Amanda Maple, PhD, LPC, ICGC-I, NCC, is a dedicated counselor with over 20 years of experience in psychiatric-related fields—encompassing research, education, outreach, and counseling. Amanda has the privilege of working with adults and specializes in brain-related mental illnesses, including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction.
 
Amanda holds a PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience and a Master’s degree in Substance Abuse and Addictions Counseling. Amanda also has experience treating problem gambling, helping clients understand the emotional, neurological, and behavioral patterns that drive gambling behaviors while building effective strategies for long-term recovery.  These qualifications not only enrich her clinical practice but also deepen her understanding of the complexities of addiction. Amanda’s goal is to address your immediate needs through compassionate behavioral interventions while exploring the root causes of addictive behaviors to support your journey toward lasting change.
 
She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful approach that helps heal emotional distress from past experiences, leading to meaningful changes in brain function. Amanda also incorporates a variety of therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)—all of which can promote neuroplasticity and inspire positive shifts in your life. Her client-centered approach is all about you.
